A Little Something Lovely - No. 7

Friday, May 1, 2015

The petunias are blooming. I have old-fashioned petunias that grow wild around my home place. They reseed themselves and pop up everywhere. There's a batch blooming at the corner of my house right now.

These are not the short, stout, genetically engineered versions for sale at the super centers. They are the original, natural, heirloom variety. They are tall and leggy, the flower petals are as thin as tissue and smell like heaven. They are wild and unruly and virtually indestructible. They do what they want and they are beautiful.

Here's a Heart Rock for your Pocket:
Consider how the lilies (petunias) grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. Luke 12:27

Wishing you God's best,
Elaine

  1. I would love to see a picture of your lovely petunias in a shot that includes your house. Your pictures of the country are wonderful! I am inspired by your blogs and wish you would blog more often:-)
