Wintertime: the season of Winter... according to Webster. Winter is not my favorite season, but I'm trying to make the best of it. I do love a comfy robe, a fire, a bowl of soup and snow, as long as I don't have to leave the house!
I decided to transition from Christmas to Winter by keeping out my snowflakes and pinecones a little longer, using them for centerpieces for both tables.
I like the natural and the sparkly together.
I also left the white painted limb with snowflakes up on my ladder shelf... keeping with the winter theme. (You can see the full shelf here, if you like.)
On the mantel, I added a Sugar Pine cone topiary with a few more snowflakes.
Have a great day and try to stay warm!
Here's a Heart Rock for your Pocket:
As the rain and the snow comedown from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Wishing you God's best,
Elaine

Thank you.
DeleteI love your sparkly snowflakes with the pinecones in the rustic bowl and wood box! I decorate with pinecones year round and have them in my hand painted pinecone wooden bowl with a Yankee cranberry candle in the middle. A simple joy to see everyday!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds lovely, AnnMarie!

DeleteBeautiful winter décor Elaine! I left my pinecones, snowflakes, and snowmen out also. I too do not love winter, but I like the coziness that the warm winter home brings. I just started putting my winter décor away and started bringing out Valentines. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
