A Little Something Lovely... No. 1

It has been said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I believe that to be true, but some things are undeniably beautiful by anyone's standards! I'm going to start a new series called "A Little Something Lovely..." and share some of the beauty I encounter. You may be surprised at what I find lovely in the future, but not today. These gorgeous roses were the inspiration for my idea. When God created these, He was just showing out!
I have to give the credit for growing these beautiful cabbage roses to my Mom. They are from her yard.
I've placed them in an old cold cream jar. I have lots of these and use them all over my house. I love the white milk glass with the color of the roses.
Ahh... there just aren't words... and they smell as lovely as they look.
I'm sitting here wishing the blooms would last forever, but I guess they wouldn't be as special if they did.

Here's a Heart Rock for your Pocket:
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8

Wishing you God's best,
Elaine

  2. It's very pretty. I love how you used cold cream jars. I remember those glass jars. I thought they were so pretty, and hated to throw them away. I will have to look and see if any product comes in them anymore. Have a great day. xoxo

    1. Thanks for visiting. You should be able to find some cold cream jars at junk/antique stores. They are pretty common.
      Good luck in your hunt.
      Thanks, Elaine

  6. Gorgeous! I absolutely love them! I wanted to reply to your comments on my blog but you have no-reply blogger status (so do I sometimes which is so annoying). It is from being on Google+ if you weren't aware. There is a way to change it but sometimes it reverts back so I might be a no-reply blogger right now! Ugh. But anyways...I thought of you when I put the picture in of the heart rocks! I found them last summer in my yard which was so exciting. So my daughter and I have started a collection. That is the first time I ever shared pics of them on my blog. Hope you have a great week Elaine!

    1. Now that you are looking for heart rocks, you will find them everywhere you go. My son used to bring them to me when he was a boy. :-) I'll check out the no-reply situation. Thanks for the heads up. It's always a joy to hear from you!
