I started with an old oval picture frame, an unfinished cross and two floral stems of forsythia.
I found some old hymn books at an estate sale and tucked inside one was a loose tattered page of "Have Faith in God" so I added it to the cross. (I'm not sure I could have torn a page out of the hymnal.)
I glued the pieces in a rustic patch work pattern.
I wired the forsythia into place and tied the cross on with jute.
After Easter, I can disassemble the wreath and re-use the parts in new projects.
It's fitting that we celebrate Easter in Spring, at the time when new life comes forth.
Jesus conquered death on the cross that we might have new life through Him.
